Jewish Federation Apartments offers subsidized apartments for individuals 62 and older, or 18+ and mobility-impaired. Jewish Federation Apartments is an apartment building designed to meet the particular needs of elderly and mobility-impaired adults. Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater Buffalo, the goal of the building is to enable tenants to live as active members of the community in a safe and affordable setting.
Located on a four-acre suburban site, the six-story building contains a total of 150 individual apartments. These include:

- 5 two-bedroom units
- 13 one-bedroom units (modified for wheelchairs)
- 2 two-bedroom units (modified for wheelchairs)

Residence is open to persons 62 years of age, or older, and mobility-impaired individuals over 18 years of age (and their families, for those who qualify).

JULY
July will be busy with maintenance work to keep the bulding looking fresh and clean. All windows will be washed inside and out and the parking lot will be refinished. We are working on updating the library since it is so popular with residents.
This is the time of year when regular walks down to the gazebo and around the lake are fun activities for residents as well as just quiet times on the beautiful covered patio. Of course, bingo, exercise, movies, and all the regular activities continue.
2009 looks like a good year to make the move...if you have ever thought about moving to rent assisted housing now is the time...the waiting list is the shortest ever so you are able to apply and get an apartment in a very short time (4-6 months right now). Where else can you live for 30% of your income (or less) and be next door to Wegmans as well as close to every possible convenience? The apartments are spacious and include stove, frig, carpets and have new kitchens, windows, heaters, etc. There are many amenities within the building including a beautiful beauty shop, computer center, library and more...
