Residence is open to those who are 62 years of age or older and mobility impaired persons over 18 years of age, and the families of those who qualify. All applicants must meet the guidelines set forth by HUD.
A prospective tenant may request and complete an application. If a unit is not available, the applicant is placed on a waiting list. The applicant will be contacted to set up an in-person appointment when they are near the top of the waiting list. At that time the appropriate paperwork will be processed and rent amounts will be calculated from that paperwork. Each tenant’s rent is figured individually according to their income and medical expenses. When an apartment is actually available and the rent has been calculated, the prospect will be given at least thirty days notice.
